Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Return Eligibility

We strive to deliver the freshest seafood products while maintaining strict quality controls. However, due to the perishable nature of seafood and varying storage conditions beyond our control post-delivery, we implement the following return policy:

Key Conditions:

  • 🕒 Returns accepted only within 1 hour of product delivery
  • 📸 Requires photographic evidence of product condition
  • 🧊 Must maintain cold chain storage until return pickup
  • 📦 Original packaging must be intact

2. Refund Process

For Prepaid Orders (Online Payments):

We offer full refunds for qualified returns processed through our verification system:

  • Refunds initiated within 3 working days of return approval
  • Amount credited within 15 working days (depending on bank processing)
  • Refund method: Original payment mode only

Processing Timeline:

  1. Return request verification: 24 hours
  2. Quality inspection: 24-48 hours
  3. Refund initiation: Post-approval
  4. Bank processing: 7-15 working days

For Cash-on-Delivery (COD) Orders:

  • ❌ No post-delivery refunds permitted
  • Quality must be verified at time of delivery:
    • Inspect packaging and product before payment
    • Refuse acceptance if damages detected
    • Report issues immediately to delivery executive

3. Non-Returnable Items

Under Indian Consumer Protection Act provisions for perishables:

  • Opened or tampered packaging
  • Products stored improperly post-delivery
  • Partial quantity returns
  • Products with "Best Before" date crossed
  • Customized/pre-order items

4. Quality Assurance Guarantee

While we maintain strict cold chain logistics, we recommend:

  • 🧊 Immediate refrigeration upon receipt
  • ⏲️ Consumption within recommended timeframe
  • ❄️ Maintain 0-4°C storage temperature
  • 🚫 Avoid repeated freezing-thawing cycles

Note: We bear no responsibility for product degradation due to improper storage post-delivery.


5. Exception Cases

Special considerations for:

  • Delivery Errors: Wrong items delivered
  • Damaged in Transit: Leakage/crush damage
  • Quality Defects: Verified pre-existing issues

Required Documentation:

  • Time-stamped unboxing video (for high-value orders >₹5,000)
  • Clear photos of packaging seals
  • Temperature log (if smart packaging used)
